What you get when you adopt a dog from ACT

 Spayed/Neutered

All ACT dogs/ puppies are spayed and neutered before adoption to combat overpopulation in the Central Valley. This practice also helps prevent reproductive diseases and undesirable behaviors.

Microchip

ACT dogs are microchipped before going to their new homes. These microchips allow the animal to be quickly and easily traced back to its owner. Most vets and shelters have microchip scanners, and animals are scanned on intake.

Vaccines

All ACT dogs receive DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines if they are old enough. DHPP protects against two serious diseases: parvo and distemper. Adult dogs need two DHPP shots for full protection, and puppies require DHPP every 3 to 4 weeks until they are at least four months old.

 Parasite Preventative

All ACT animals receive a general dewormer and flea preventative.
